Petroškai Forest is a technically demanding terrain that hosted the Middle Distance qualification and final at the 2006 Junior World Orienteering Championships. The area features a mosaic of fast pinewoods, marshes filled with deciduous trees, and a dense network of clearings locally known as “White Turtles.” As part of a protected natural reserve, the forest combines athletic challenge with ecological sensitivity.
